Saudi citizen needs to obtain a visa to enter Egyptian territory. Saudi citizens can enter Egypt on a tourist visa for a stay of up to 3 months.
Saudi citizen can apply for Egypt e-Visa or obtain On Arrival Visa after paying the charges.
Difference between the On Arrival Visa and the Egypt e-Visa
Nationals of one of the eligible Egypt visa on arrival countries will also be able to apply for an electronic visa. Many travellers choose this option as they consider it more convenient and reliable.
Drawbacks of the visa on arrival for Egypt include:
- Queuing for a long time at the airport (especially if the traveller lands at night or after a long flight)
- Having to pay the fee in US dollars, Euros or British Pounds
- The risk of being denied entry once already on Egyptian soil
Conversely, the online visa has the following advantages:
- Quick and easy to obtain from your own home
- Pay via card, without needing to deal with cash and changing currency
- Visa application approved in advance of the trip
Entry requirements (on arrival)
- Passport valid for at least 6 months from arrival date.
- e-Visa printout
- Travel itinerary
- Supporting letter e.g. letter from company or invitation letter for business/family visits.
- Hotel bookings/details about places to visit if going as tourist.
